Why shop with us

We are sure that every product you receive from us will be of the highest possible standard, as we've spent 20 years perfecting these products! We have also spent those 20 years creating a unique meat eating experience with an absolutely unique story. So much has changed along the way, but one thing remains, and that is that we are determined to achieve perfection without cutting any corners. That is why we provide our unconditional guarantee for everything we sell.

The following pages will hopefully provide you a greater insight into the way we work, and provide answers for any questions you may have!

However, if ever you would like to know more, please don't ever hesitate to contact us.

Why don't we use the word organic?

20 years ago when we started Pipers Farm we knew that we wanted to set the highest possible standards, and be completely responsible for adhering to them. Most importantly we knew that the animals we grow and the meat we sell must never go out of our control. Most of the organic meat in the High Street is processed in large abattoirs and processing plants - that is simply unacceptable to us.

Chickens — Reared in small groups on a simple grain diet, free from artificial additives and routine antibiotics. Dry plucked and hung on the bone for 2 weeks - to develop tenderness and a full, old fashioned depth of flavour.
One man (Peter) and his dog (Chip)

Every step, from the field to your first bite, is important
Our commitment to quality continues throughout the process, with the large animals taken only a few miles to John Coles' small abattoir on his family farm where they are killed with as little stress as possible (The chickens are killed by hand on the farm where we grow them). John is pictured here in his abattoir during the filming of the BBC Three series Kill It, Cook It, Eat It.
