What is Ready-to-Cook?
Ready-to-Cook saves you time and money as well as significantly reducing waste.
Our Ready-to-Cook products are divided into convenient portions.
- These are then vacuum packed...
- ...and then blast frozen. We freeze our meat at the perfect moment, ensuring that it reaches you tasting superb.
- The frozen portions are placed into kilo packs. Which we then keep in the freezer ready to send out to you.
- When you receive them...Pop the packs into the freezer.
- Then when the kids come home...
And you need supper fast, take the pack out of the freezer.
- Cut it open...
Take out just what you need. We throw away a third of the food we buy in the UK every year. But with a Ready-to-Cook pack you can put what you don't need back in the freezer for later.
- Pop the portions into a bowl of cool water
So they can de-frost. Not too hot (they'll start to cook) or not too cold (they'll stay frozen)
- After 15 minutes...
Take them out and open up the packs. The vacuum bags are recyclable too so make sure you put them in the right bin!
- Pop them in the pan...
With a little bit of oil or a bit of butter. You can add some seasoning if you'd like too.
- In a few minutes they'll be ready...
Check that the juices run clear when you pierce them with a fork. Be careful not to overcook them! Serve them with a salad and some new potatoes, in sandwiches, covered in breadcrumbs, the choice is yours...
