Spicy Steak Burgers

Serves 4-6
These are exceedingly juicy and succulent, as well as having a lovely flavour - and so simple to make.

STEPS

  • Put the beef mince into a generous size bowl and add all the other ingredients.
  • Mix together lightly with a fork, or cut in with a palette knife until all the aromatics are incorporated throughout the meat.
  • Divide the mix into 4 or 6 portions and form each into a burger shape. Do this lightly with your hands.
  • Equally good barbecued or pan fried until just pink in the middle.

HINTS AND TIPS
Avoid heavy handed pounding with a wooden spoon when mixing; and excessive handling and squeezing when forming into burgers. This will break down the meat and cause it to lose liquid, thus becoming hard and dry when cooked.

YOU'LL NEED

  • 500g Lean Beef Mince
  • 1 dstsp sun-dried tomato paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • handful of chopped coriander
  • salt (Use sparingly, there is already salt in the sun-dried tomato paste)
