We want to show you how straightforward stunning food can be, and so we'll be demonstrating some of our delicious Christmas produce and giving you the opportunity to sample it too! The evenings also offer an opportunity to take advantage of exclusive deals and 10% discount on anything that you buy on the night.
The first evenings will be focusing on the traditional Christmas favourite – turkey! We're holding sessions on Tuesday 15th and Thursday 17th Nov starting at 6.30pm. Although the sun is still shining (seemingly more this week then over the last couple of months!), the great British Summer is slowly drawing to a close. But even as Autumn approaches, we doubt that many people have been thinking about the festive season just yet, yet alone their Christmas turkey! However, here at Pipers Farm, we've been thinking about it for quite some time now - we've been rearing our free-range Bronze turkeys since May.
The length of time over which we grow our turkeys is quite unusual but we don't use any growth promoters. Our turkeys are fed on an entirely natural diet of cereals and have free roam of the cider orchards. Slowly growing turkeys to natural maturity develops by far the best taste and texture. It also allows us enough time at the end for us to hang the turkeys for three weeks, which adds to the depth of flavour that our customers love.
These photos were taken earlier in the week - they're very inquisitive creatures!
